how to upgrade your monitor

how to upgrade your monitor It's not always as simple as you think it would be just swapping cables as I'll describe in detail in this video. One other thing I forgot to mention is to measure the space in which your monitor will be installed because if you buy something too big for your desk then that could be an issue. It is not difficult to find a 32-inch 4K monitor, either gaming-specific or general-purpose, that is priced below $1,000. For basic office use, 1080p should be enough, and in monitors as small as 27 inches. You can also find spacious 32-inch-class monitors that have native 1080p, which is fine for day-to-day use, although at this screen size, 1080p may seem a bit rough on the eyes of the discriminating, particularly when it comes to showing off text. If you are determined to stay under $100, the HP V20 HD+ Monitor comes in at $95, and the 19.5-inch-diagonal screen uses TN technology, which offers faster response times, but lesser clarity off-axis. If you can afford to spend a bit more, Dells $140 SE2222H takes things up a notch, upping it to a 22-inch screen, and it even has thinner bezels, which is good for keeping distractions to a minimum among dual displays. If you are looking to swap out a dual-monitor setup with one, consider going with an ultrawide display. Choosing to stretch out a dual-monitor will ask Windows to treat the displays as a single, contiguous screen. The "Multiple displays" drop-down lets you manage the way your two screens work together. Select the main display, which will be your primary monitor, by clicking on Detect, then drag and drop both displays onto your screen into the order that you would like your two displays in. Once the two monitors are connected, your Apple computer should automatically detect the displays. Once you have connected your cables securely, your computer should automatically detect and display a desktop screen on the connected monitor. Simply connect your monitor to its appropriate port on the computer, and Windows should automatically expand the desktop to fit. Plug a monitor into the DisplayPort, DVI, or HDMI ports of a laptop, and Windows will let you use both the integrated display of the laptop and an external monitor simultaneously (see instructions in the next section). Some monitors are slightly more suited to Mac users, including ones that have USB-C connectivity, which makes connecting the Mac to a monitor easier. Some monitors feature USB hubs, which allow you to connect USB thumb drives or other devices into the monitors more convenient ports rather than having to go around the back of the PC; such a monitor will have both an upstream USB port (for connecting the monitor and the computer) and one or more downstream USB ports (for thumb drives and other peripherals). On USB Type-C-capable monitors, this interface sometimes serves as both the video signal and data transporter, and it can also usually provide the power for running or charging the computer. For instance, you might mirror the laptops desktop to a larger display, or black out the laptops screen when connected to the larger display. Microsoft Windows provides several display style options on how your desktop screens are displayed on the different monitors connected to your computer. When you attach a second monitor to your Dell desktop, the default display style is Extended. Extend is an option that you would want to choose if you are using the extra monitor for extra PC screen real estate. #howtoreplaceyourcomputermonitordummies #howoftenshouldyoureplaceyourcomputermonitor #computermonitor #computermonitors #cheapcomputermonitors #ultrawidemonitor #gamingmonitor #monitors #dellmonitors #monitor #howtoconnecttwocomputermonitors #howtoconnecttwomonitorstoonecomputer #howtosetuptwocomputerstoonemonitor ➡️Subscribe To My Channel and See More Shiny Tech Things https://www.youtube.com/c/ShinyTechThings?sub_confirmation=1 💵 Direct Donation: https://paypal.me/ShinyTechThings Follow me on Instagram: ➡️ https://www.instagram.com/shinytechthings/ Follow me on Twitter: ➡️ https://twitter.com/Shiny_Tech Follow me on Reddit: ➡️ https://www.reddit.com/r/ShinyTechThings ➡️WindScribe VPN https://windscribe.com/?affid=6njmsc2q
